The Dos and Don’ts of Haunted Objects

Merry meet all,

I am so honoured to discover that my blog is included on the website 100 Best Paranormal Blogs and Websites! Wow! I am honoured. I mean this is awesome. Truly awesome.

Today the sun’s shining hard but the cold wind lingers. That ruins my groove because I can’t wear certain tops, unless I have the equivalent of an eskimo parka on over it. Not sure why this cold wind is still here but I hope it leaves soon.

Today’s post is about how to deal with a haunted object. Enjoy!

The Dos and Don’ts of Dealing with a Haunted Object

Many people believe that objects can become Haunted. Whether you believe it or not, there are certain steps you should take if you think you have a Haunted object in your possession. In this blog post, we will go over what to do if you think an object is Haunted as well as how to remove a spirit from an object.

How Can a Spirit Become Attached to an Object?
There are two main ways that a spirit can become attached to an object: through attraction or through energy. The first instance is when the spirit is attracted to the object itself. This could be because of the material it is made out of, its color, or even its shape. The second instance is when the spirit becomes attached to the energy of the person who owns the object. This often happens with items that have been passed down through generations or have been owned by someone for a long time. The attachment can also happen if the owner was very emotional when they were using the item.

For example, if a person got very angry while using a particular tool, that tool could pick up on that anger and attract a spirit that is also angry. Or, if someone passed away while wearing a certain piece of jewelry, that jewelry could hold on to the energy of the person and their passing. There are many different circumstances in which a spirit can become attached to an object.

Can Objects Be Haunted?
The answer to this question is a little bit complicated. Technically speaking, no, an inanimate object cannot be haunted because it does not have a soul. However, what many people think of as “haunted” objects are actually just objects that have had a spirit attached to them at some point in time. So while an object cannot be haunted in and of itself, it can have all of the same symptoms as a haunted house would—things moving on their own, strange noises, etc.—because there is a spirit present.

Dos:

• If you think an object is Haunted, the first thing you should do is try to figure out why the spirit is attached to the object. This can be done by researching the history of the object or talking to a medium.

• Once you know why the spirit is attached to the object, you can try to help them move on. This can be done by holding a seance or by performing a cleansing ritual. • If you are successful in helping the spirit move on, be sure to bless the object so that it does not become Haunted again.

Don’ts:

• Do not attempt to remove a spirit from an object without knowing why they are attached to it. This can agitate the spirit and make them angry.

• Do not try to communicate with the spirit without the help of a professional medium. This can be dangerous as spirits can lash out if they feel threatened.

• Do not attempt to perform a cleansing ritual without first doing your research. Cleansing rituals can be dangerous if not performed correctly.

If you think you have a Haunted object in your possession, there are certain steps you should take. Do your research and try to figure out why the spirit is attached to the object. Once you know why they are attached, you can try to help them move on. If you are successful, be sure to blessed the object so that it does not become Haunted again. If you have any further questions or concerns, please consult with a professional medium.

Celebrate the Blood Moon of Samhain

Merry meet all,

Tomorrow night is the Full Moon of Samhain, known as the Blood Moon. That is a great time for magickal workings. Clean up the altar, dust off your cauldrons and broomsticks!! Or, if you are anything like me, create a new besom. As I sit and type, the colourful leaves trickle to the cold earth. The overcast sky frequently brightens as the sun pushes through the clouds. The air is cool. My garden is dying down for the long cold winter.

I saved a lot of nasturtium seeds yesterday morning. It involved me getting into odd almost yogic contortions to collect the seeds. I have a ton of poppy seeds from my Mom. Now is a good time for saving and storing seeds- and roots! Herbs such as dandelion, burdock, mullein and coltsfoot are rich with medicinal properties. Most of them are biennial.

Here is a link that tells you more about the amazing herb, mullein:

When to harvest mullein flowers, leaves, and roots

So get out there and harvest your heart out. Now is the time, now is the hour!

Blood Moon

The Blood Moon of October is also known as Harvest Moon, which occurs in September, and Hunter’s Moon. Samhain is the Final Harvest Sabbat, so the names for the full moon make sense. Here are the correspondences to aid you in your shellwork on this magical upcoming Full Moon.

Embrace The Season

The veil thins in October take some time to contemplate the natural cycle of life. Observe how Nature dies externally each season to rest and prepare for the light and growth of next Spring.

Visit a local cemetery. Bring fresh flowers to place on graves you connect with or who might need a bit of love. Read each headstone and imagine who they were and what they cared about in life.

Since the veil thins the closer we get to Samhain or Halloween it increases the opportunity to spot Fae! Learn more about how to incorporate Fae mythology origins or different types of Fae into your spiritual practice.

The October and the harvest season is traditionally a time for protection magic as well. You’ll see this rooted in the history of pumpkin and turnip carving to guard the home and people from sinister or evil spirits. Draw or design your pumpkins with sigils, bind runes, symbols, or spiritual meanings you’re drawn to like sacred geometry or the pentagram.

You could also spend more time researching spiritual paths or topics you’d like to learn more about like candle color meanings, magical elements, or types of witches.

Embrace all things October: Halloween or Samhain decorations, pumpkin spice everything, cozy blankets, bonfires, or whatever your heart and spirit connect to! Have fun, be free of judgment, and celebrate this wonderful season.

Deep Meditation

October is an amazing season to meditate beneath the moon. Place a picnic blanket in your yard and put on some headphones.

Play some relaxing music that will help quiet your mind or binaural beats that will help you align with your goals and intentions. You could also try playing some positive affirmation songs to help with manifestation.

You can do this on a balcony as well, or even just sitting next to a window and soaking in the moonlight.

Honor and Connect With Your Ancestors

Go through old photo albums and find ways to display or chronicle family photos. Connect with places like Ancestry.com to discover more in-depth information on your family’s history.

Do you have anything that has been passed down to you that you can add to your household decor or place on your altar? Speak to your family elders to hear stories and learn more about your heritage. Contemplate how you can connect with traditions your ancestors celebrated.

Sensing spirits in your home

Greetings All,

While I believe that most noises or bumps in the night can be explained for a reason, there are times when some bumps in the night are actually just that. If you are experiencing odd occurrences, then check this post to validate whether its your radiator creaking at night or there really is a spooky spectral visiting your abode.

We can’t always explain what we feel or why we feel a certain way, and this can occur when sensing a spirit. If we choose to remain open to spirits, then we will sense them. It is more intuitive and clairvoyant than anything else. Spirits linger near where they died and I believe they remain in old houses with a history to the building or anywhere else.

Encountering a Spirit may feel like –

  • A sudden rush of wind or cool air that cannot be explained
  • A heavy or strong pressure around your head, neck, chest or upper back
  • An unexplained feeling of anxiety, nervousness or a rush of emotion
  • A heaviness in the air which makes the space feel small or stuffy
  • Hearing voices, whispers or distant chatter
  • Someone is watching you

A place that is haunted by a dark spirit will have a more oppressive energy. A place that has a light spirit will have a more lighter or positive energy. Your feelings will tell you which is which.

If your home has a darker energy, this list of things to look for will tell you:

  • Electrical disturbances that cannot be explained
  • Seeing shadows out of the corner of your eye
  • Strange dreams or nightmares
  • Psychokinetic Activity (opening of doors or things moving around the room)
  • Unexplained fear when in certain areas of your space
  • Abnormal animal behavior or reactions
  • Feeling drained, mentally foggy or tired when in the space

We are physical beings but we also have an energetic level to us. We are connected to the Spirit world. Sometimes we have to reach out on the energetic level to understand why we feel what we feel. If you do suspect your home has darker spirits, then look for these signs:

  • Clean the clutter and mess from every room in the house
  • Smudge your space regularly with sage, cedar, frankincense, rosemary
  • Place crystals, charms or deities around the room
  • Burn incense or diffuse essential oils
  • Imagine your space filled and wrapped with white light
  • Ask your angelic Spirit Team to help
  • Practice positive thinking and keep your emotions positive
  • Consult with a shaman, paranormal expert or energy healer

This blog post was created with thanks to another blog site. I don’t have the web address but I give credit. *

I don’t recommend interacting much with the dark spirit. If you do have one, seek help from a professional or a church priest. The dark spirits may have unresolved business on this earthly plane that prevents them from transitioning to the next level of existence or going to a dimension.

Blessings, Spiderwitch
