Merry meet all,
Today it’s pouring rain. I am waiting for the rain to pass to run some errands. I killed a spider. There must be some truth to the belief that if you kill a spider, it will rain. This downpour is my fault. I should know better.
I can’t wait to see the movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Oh my gosh yes, that will be a good movie. I visited the mystical New Age shop Into the Mystic yesterday. It felt so good to be back in a witch shop. I need to visit that shop more often. I purchased a cute black obsidian arrowhead gemstone. I originally wanted it for someone else but I was advised to keep it for myself to protect my own energy. I agree. I plan to return and – spend a fortune there!
October is three months away! Yes, I’m excited. I also want to help my garden grow. I can’t stop time though. Before we know it, the dark half of the year will be here. I love fall. I still hope to get a great harvest from my garden. I ordered another book from the Herbal Academy – the Botanical Skin care book. It will be chockfull of recipes to keep me beautiful! I can’t wait for it to arrive.
I guess I had better get ready for fall. There is no better time than now. I love wearing my summer dresses, don’t get me wrong, but now I feel the first stirrings of autumn which is what August is all about. It is the precursor to October, the most magical month of the year. I will trade in my flip flops for those covetous black lace up boots. Strapless tops for shawls, and black witch skirts for well, black witch skirts. I have fallen in love with a gorgeous witch dress from Moon Maiden Gothic Clothing. I am still waiting for my apron dress from Holy Clothing. I know it will be a while before it arrives. I am so excited. I plan to wear it a LOT. I want to learn more about my Viking ancestry and heritage. I want to learn how to speak the language. I should read the Poetic Eddas too. When I wear the apron dress, I bet I will feel very Nordic. I will wear it while I get errands, gardening, cooking and etc done.
I ordered a book titled The Encyclopedia of Psychoactive plants. I want to learn all I can about herbs, including the darker bane herbs. This book shall help me do just that. I have to learn everything I can about bane herbs to avoid harming myself or others. I love bane herbs as much as balm herbs.
Now is the time to stock up on crab apples, root veggies, herbs from the garden, supplies for tincture making, roots from herbs like dandelions. I plan to stock up well this fall on dandelion roots but not elecampane. I am letting it grow and establish itself. I will wait a good while before I harvest the roots again.
Exciting times ahead for me!
